Vila Vipolže and Cerovo village

We will start with a short visit of the vila which is one of the most beautiful Venetian villas in the area. We will continue hiking to the next village Dolnje Cerovo along a nice path and beautiful view. There we will see the church of St. Lenart, which is surrounded by a chain of St. Lenart to protect all prisoners. On the hill where it is placed, we will enjoy a beautiful view. Recently, archaeologists have found part of a cemetery from the early 12th century. This proved how old the village of Cerovo actually is. Although it has changed a lot since then, the banks of the village are stil cultivated with vineyards. We will stop at the winemaker and try the wine from the home cellar. On this route you will get to know the villages of Vipolže and Cerovo and take a walk right along the southern border with Italy.
