Hikig to the wineries with stories from the past

During the hike we will walk along paths through the vineyards and villages. You will hear about history of Brda , about famous people, about the poetry of the slovenia poet Alojz Gradnik who was born here. At the castle of Dobrovo you will hear about Silverio de Baguer, this ambitious Catalan diplomat who also modernized the winemaking, especially was famous for the production of piculit wine. It will be possible to visit the castle (additional cost) after which we will continue along a winding path through the vineyards and villages of Brda and beautiful views. Our main place of visit is the village of Šmartno. With its walls from the time of the Uskoki wars, it is a true pearl of Brda's cultural heritage. Together we will visit the village and afterwards you will enjoy the time to discover it for yourself. Here is also a very nice place to sit and have a typical traditional lunch.

The village is becoming more and more interesting even for gourmets. Here it will be time for lunch or to visit the village, which is known to develop in a more artistic and culinary way. Old renovated village is now so romantic it seems you are somewhere in Tuscany. To return on our starting point we descend on a path passing by an interesting village of Imenje.

To pay on the spot: entrance ticket to Dobrovo Castle, lunch with drinks, wine tasting (if you wish to have it). All extra payments are agreed in the morning before departure.
