Up to the Korada plateau in to another world

The mountain of Korada is linked to the rich ancient animism tradition of the right bank of Soča. In the old mysterious legends it is said that it was linked to the force of lightning. Believers placed a stone at the top that was supposed to emanate a third force, which radiated far and wide. It is therefore not surprising that all those who needed this power made a pilgrimage to the mountain. These miracles were known only to those who had been entrusted to them by their grandparents and fathers.

During the excursion we will leave the Brda hills behind us for half a da. Brici, the locals live straightly connected to the wine growing. From here we will immerse ourselves in green countryside and pure nature.In Korada, the landscape is different from the hills of Brda and is mainly covered by forests and meadows. At the top we will enjoy a beautiful view towards the mountain Krn and stop at a hut for lunch. From Vrhovlje, where we will meet, we will start walking first on the asphalt road and afterwards on the forest path to the Korada refuge and on top further on. We will enjoy a beautiful view of the Julian Prealps. After a pleasant break at the refuge, we will start to descend to the starting point.
