For heart and soul
Walkings towards ourselves:The art of walking meditation is to learn to be aware as you walk, to use the natural movement of walking to cultivate mindfulness and wakeful presence. On my walkings we walk on paths of our ancestors towards old sanctuaries, places of veneration of natural beauty and spirit. During the long way of walking in peace we can come in touch with our inner essence.
Western part part of Slovenia is one of the few countries where organised paganism survived until the 20th century. The pagan communities with their priest were still active up t the First World War, and then disapperared. Since Christianity prosecuted them it was strictly secret, so they lived seemingly as Christians. Folk tradition is now available thanks to slovenian ethnologists and people who collected oral material among last »staroverci« till 1970. We walk to this special meditative places to feel with all senses the pulse of ancient centuries. The rich mythology and pre-Cristian beliefs bring us all together, as our ancestors have the same origin. We learn from our grandfathers and walking along paths in such powerful place bring us connection to them and to ourselves.
